About Me

My name is Claire Fisher and I am an artist based in Carlton, Nottingham. I provide a bespoke painting service to clients throughout the UK and overseas. I have painted since a young age and have over 30 years experience in Arts and Crafts.

I specialise in pen and ink sketches and portraiture but welcome all enquiries including commissions, large scale murals, contemporary abstracts and pet studies. I am always looking for new modes of expression and like to experiment with media and style.  At the moment, I am working a lot with resin and metal leaf - which is proving addictive!

I will work with you to create an affordable and striking piece of artwork which is personal to you. Paintings will always make superb gifts as they show such a degree of love and respect for the recipient and often the subject in the painting itself.

I paint in acrylics and oils on canvas, linen and board and also watercolours and ink on paper. I offer a framing service; or canvases and boards can be simply mounted - or the painting continued around in a 'gallery wrap' format.

Utilising a well equipped home studio and many years of experience, I am able to offer a professional painting service to individuals and the commercial sector, alike. The service is designed to be personal to the client and affordable - enabling customers to own a treasured piece of artwork in a style and price bracket, tailored to suit.

The business is owned by myself - Claire Fisher. Rest assured, all commissions will receive great respect and personal attention to detail. I will always correspond with you before and during work progressing to assure you are happy with the results. I am happy to work from your photographs and produce digital art mock-ups for ideas for the finished piece. My work is a direct reflection of how I see the world and ultimately the subject.  I have a strong passion for colour and light and like to bring these elements to the fore when I paint.  I am most interested in figurative work and the relationship of the subject to its environment and evoking an emotion or moment.  I am always looking at new methods and means of expression.

I tend to spend most of my time around animals, as such they often feature in my paintings.
